• About Dr Natalie Kanakam

     

    Dr Natalie Kanakam is a Clinical Psychologist who offers a range of interventions for young people and adults. She also offers specialist psychological assessments. Natalie provides a compassionate and confidential approach to supporting the psychological well-being of young people and adults.

     

    Natalie completed her PhD at King's College London in the field of Psychological Medicine and subsequently her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She has worked across the lifespan with individuals, families, couples, children and young people. She has contributed widely to the evidence base and research of psychological disorders and to investigating effective therapies. Natalie currently works in the NHS as a Senior Clinical Psychologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital and in private practice.

     

    Natalie is experienced in working with people of all ages who present with psychological difficulties including anxiety, depression, social anxiety, eating disorders, medically unexplained symptoms, physical health problems and interpersonal difficulties. Natalie is also experienced in working with neurodevelopmental presentations (i.e. autism spectrum disorder) and providing parent support for this.

     

    Appointments are available remotely or in person in Surrey or Great Ormond Street Hospital Private Practice in Central London.
